Welcome to my exhibition and feel free to see my works of art. Below you will find a few words about myself.
For years, my best friends have been crayons, pencils, and a drawing block. It is them that decided the course of my education, and as a consequence I graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.
Having worked 10 years for Miastoprojekt Gliwice, I changed the continent to live on and moved to Algeria, which turned out to be my new inspiration.
It is there that I became fascinated by the faces of various Algerian nations, races, and regions and that is why I started painting portraits.
Thanks to the trips along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, to the heart of the Sahara, the Hoggar Mountains, and to the region inhabited by the Tuareg people, I got to know Algeria during my 5-year stay there.
Various emotions and experiences, which were intensified by the beauty and diversity of nature, by culture, the way of being and lifestyle, inclined me to paint, the activity of which would develop in my home country.
When I returned to Poland, I started my own architectural business. Escaping from everyday life, I began to take trips to Sanok where I got to known the incredible art and architecture of Orthodox churches and icons, which shine like pearls in comparison to the rich nature of Bieszczady.
I was impressed by the talent of the people from Bieszczady, while the local art encouraged me to continue learning how to paint and to paint icons with the use of a medieval technique. This training was led by a renowned painter.
When I retired, the satisfaction and joy I derived from the training turned into an everyday activity. Now being devoid of duties and obligations, I can truly devote myself to my second calling.
The joy I bring to people – and to you naturally – is my greatest reward.
So, my dear viewer, feel free to contemplate my works of art.
